				| If I remember right, I believe Mount Tom is one of the new lakes stocked with Walleye. If that's the case then they are probably still too small to keep. |

840,.....5 inch fingerlings last fall. You have a few years to go before they are of any worth fishing for.

As for the salmon.DEEP! Try a reef runner that hits 21 feet when "flat lined" and 6-4 lb test.In that clear water they become super line-shy.

Nice to hear you did well.I just don't like the people swimming and splashing around at this time of year.I don't think the salmon do either. _________________ ...Randy...

I wonder how many of the Walleye will survive with the big Trout and Salmon in there? Anyone know their chance of survival? _________________ Oh man... you got Onzo'd! |

As long as people keep picking away at the trout and salmon, better and better.

The Salmon can't lay eggs in Mt Tom. From what i heard they are sterile. I think that's why they call them broodstock. _________________ Oh man... you got Onzo'd! |

The one i caught in May, had about a shot glass worth left in her.

Unless they are producing unfertilized eggs. Or were in her when stocked.

I wasn't aware that they were sterile, only retired from the captive breeding program. _________________ ...Randy...

Yeap, broodstock salmon aren't sterile; they're sexually mature. The question is whether the DEEP stocks females and males in there. if there are eggs and milt in the water, there's a chance the salmon could reproduce. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |
