How is this even possible? I thought the record was 80lb+ by our guy in CT?? And Meyerson caught it in 2011 too so how could this other guy have caught a world record bass in Feb 2012? Sounds like they don't have their story straight.

Maybe there's a category for landlocked striped bass.

They set the rules and make it tough then, someone accomplished the near impossible.Now they are looking for a loophole so they don't have to pay up.
Give the man his money unless,they don't mind paying more after the courts have their say.
I heard some tournaments are considering banning a rubber worm called "The walking worm 2-the electric worm" that out fishes live bait 3-1. It traps air bubbles and moves on it's own.They're making lures better and better.Now they are trying to ban highly producing lures from tournaments so they don't have to pay out.

That's nuts! A lure is a lure.As long as it's not live bait,who cares.
I wonder if the ones complaining feel threatened that they will be out fished? Do you know which Rapala's?
