It is a silver / golden color. I caught several of these in the Scantic River in Enfield.

Thanks, I was at a bit of a loss about it. It was a bit carp like in appearance with the shape of a trout and it had me quite confused. Good to know for the future.

Speaking of the scantic. Since you seem to know it Justin, do you know of any good trout spots to hit? I walked it a short ways starting at the park near the Powder mill and didnt get any hits other than probably 7-10 of those Fallfish.

That first big pool by the parking area produces the most consistently for me. I have had success up to the big bend/hill you walk around. It gets more spotty for me as I head up river. Waders help a lot there, no worries about the overhanging trees. 1/4 split shot and size 6 hook, throw it right into those rapids and wait. Might have to play with the weights depending on water flow. Last time there I got into some nice Calicos by the bridge on a few flies, so many pools at this spot. Let me know if you wanna hook up and go, I love this spot.place
