When I saw what they were setting up to do, I couldn't even watch it. Been bit by grinders too many times. I'm guessing he ended up with a bigger OUCH?

Probably vodka, and it doesn't sound like there was much left to hold. Here's what you should do in such a situation. By all means, drink up beforehand if you have a sober friend removing the hook, but I'd rather do it myself (and I have) than most of the guys I fish with.
