This year I only went out saltwater fishing about 5 times and got skunked every time.

Last night my buddy from work took me out to the race on his 40' bertrum. It is a sweet boat. We arrived at slack tide and just hung out until the rip picked up. We ended up landing 4 blues between 8 and 9.

I caught 2 on a black tube on the bottom and my buddy caught his on a diamond jig.

It was awesome out last night, perfect temp with very little wind.

I enjoy diamond jig fishing as much as i enjoy going to get a prostate exam.

We had limited tackle so we made the best of it. The guy that owns the boat just brought it to CT from NJ on Wednesday so a lot of his gear is still in NJ. All he had was a couple of poppers, cast masters, diamond jigs and some tubes. The bite was on the bottom so it was a no brainer.

Its great when a bluefish tries to rip your arms out of there sockets while cranking that jig.
