Fished my local pond for the first time in a while, and the bass are hittin' pretty good. It's small, shallow and full of scum, so I pretty much fish all frogs this time of year. Last night I caught several, largest being 3.4lbs. Lost a bunch the last two days just in the snot. On the weekdays I have the place pretty much to myself. I like the new Booyah line of frogs, and last night I was fishing the popper version. They slide nicely across the snot mats, and create a lot of noise when you pop 'em. They're pretty idiot proof as well. Just cast out, let settle, reel and pop, sit a bit, reel and pop, etc. Just about any way you fish them will catch fish.

There's a fish somewhere.

That's what malone pond by me looks like.Almost like the a monster blew it's nose. But,your right about the bass under it and the many that get lost dragging them through to shore.

One certain pond at the golf course gets like that. I call it the Weedy Pond because of it being the most vegetated pond on the course.
