I took my kids fishing from shore at the King's Island boat launch on Friday after dinner. We went south down the bank looking for deeper water and a decent place to cast. We caught 3 little smallies all on 4 inch GitZit tube baits in crawfish color. I had them Texas rigged weightless. The kids had a good time. A nice start to a week of vacation!

I actually went there Friday morning thinking I would launch my boat and found the water to be incredibly low. I had to drive back up to thompsonville.

Do you know if there are any decent spots to fish from shore at that Thompsonville boat launch?

It's very limited, there are private properties on both sides from the launch, but there is a beach area where people catch carp and catfish.
