i was supposed to work today, but nobody else showed up. damn! gotta go fishing AGAIN!!!
got to the lake about 730 water was down 10'+ headed north to start saw a stone wall i had to check out
3rd cast 3.5 smallie, 5th cast 2.5 largemouth, then i caught 4 or 5 dinks and moved on to a real nice rocky outcroping bang a couple rats and 1) 2.5 smallie
then the bite just died so i went to another stone wall i know and managed to pull a lone 1.5 smallie, nothin for a while so i zip down to the shepaug arm it looked so good but the wind was howling though there and the fish just chased my baits. farther south i go tried a nice dropoff i did well on a time or two,and hooked i dont know how many 10" 8" 6" 4" smallies and largies and 1) 1.5 largemouth. felt that rounded out the day pretty well?
i tried a lot of baits (tubes, pig n jig, varius cranks,spook,grubs,blade bait) but "all" my fish came on a jerk bait except for the 1.5 smallie i got on a bomber model A . most were in 8-10 fow |
