I posted a question about walleyes back on August 30th: The question was do walleyes eat yellow perch. Is it possible there are no walleye fishermen or just didn't know the answer to this question. Two months without a response just baffles me. cmorjoe

My only reason for the questions was: Since they introduced walleye into lake Housatonic in Shelton I haven't caught or even seen any perch. I was just wondering if the perch were part of their diet. THANKS AGAIN cmorjoe

Everything probably eats small perch. So that is why they stuck to cover or grass lines.
Have u seen any perch chasing your lures back to the boat?

There use to be a ton of perch in the lake and like I said I haven't seen (never mind) caught any in a few years. If they are hiding they are doing a good job. Also I think there might be some pike in there; this summer I had something break off 17lb test line while fishing a crankbait. At first I thought I might have snagged a carp (they are as big as buicks in this lake) but then I remembered the pike I caught a couple of years ago at ZOAR. cmorjoe
