Thanks for the update those kings do put up a fierce fight...Just got back myself fishing with my son and son-in-law. Fished DSR, Staircase and Altmar. Not a banner trip compared to this time last year but we did get into a bunch of kings and some coho. I was also fortunate to land about a 7lb Steelhead at the Staircase on an egg pattern. Took about an hour to get the smile off my face.....Best fishing is yet to come!

Glad to see there are fish up there, I'm going on that trip in a week for four days.

Mike - It's pretty much like hooking a freight train.

You have NO idea how amazing it is to feel and see these fish fight! Like a bluefish but a lot bigger. If they decide to go out of the pool you hooked them in GOODLUCK! Just hold your reel and wait for the snap. Unless you wanna try and chase them but there is a good shot you'll end up in the river.

Chasing them can be fun but I hate when people get all up in your grills in the process. I had some idiot pretty much clothesline me in the throat. I was just fishing my little section and suddenly I feel something pressing into my adam's apple, and it was some guy's mono. The line was practically horizontal to where he was. I don't think he understood the concept that trying to fight a fish that's over 60 feet away from you, with like 10 other people between you and the fish is not a good thing to do. Either go run after it or let it go, it's not like there won't be any others...
