				| Thursday was the first day in over a week when weather conditions were more favorable for fishing so I headed out. Arrived at the striper spot around 12:30pm to find most of it locked up. Setup was a 7' Daiwa Procyon MH/PENN Fierce 3000.
Was still able to cast into productive areas but after about 45 minutes of playing with different lures and not getting a single hit, I decided to head over to Short Beach.

When I got to short beach I noticed tide was coming in but getting close to peak high. Stuck with the FLR-10 and hit the same areas as I did that day last month. Got 2 hits but no hook sets. Saw birds circling 1 certain area often which was where I'd occasionally smell something fishy.

After about an hour at Short Beach I headed over to Sniffens Point. Current was pretty strong over there and never got a hit.

Before calling it a day I hit the striper spot once more for about 20 minutes but nada.

 Hit the road around 3:45pm

				| Youd think with your extremely heightened sense of smell uoud be able to smell where the fish are all the time. I on the other hand went scouting for a new spot seeing as how everyone has moved into where I fish thanks to all you spot burners on this and other sites. Hopefully no one saw me to advertise it. _________________

Come to think of it, you got it on the dot. It was prob raw clams also attracting the seagulls cause it was right near shore.

				| Not as much ice on striper spot today . Sunday should be the best chance of catching some final fish of the season there. I like my coffee light with no sugar... _________________

				| Checked out the place today with my waders and a 7 foot Okuma Tarvos/PENN Fierce 2000/10 pound Spiderwire setup.
Spent 45 minutes throwing the traditional FLR-10 and other lures. Also tried doing a stop and go retrieve with a spotted minnow SXR-10 but no luck.

Today's water and weather conditions were very much like the day I started this topic.

I'm hoping this predicted 3/4" of rain will do a job on it.

				| the ice will be gone but the water will still be cold. You are looking at the beginning of april for any action over there, if it warms up _________________
