Took advantage of the seasonably warm temperatures and did a little trout fishing on the farmington river at the end of woe wassa road. I was able to catch one 12" brown but had to cut the outing short after I broke,off my only spinner I had with me on a rock all in all good outing for a trout newbie

Thanks for the report. Almost every time I drive past the Big Bird bridge, I think of trying for trout or smallies just downriver from the base of the pedestrian bridge over the river.

No, not yet, but I've been told that they're there. On second thought, that's not entirely true. I caught one in the Dunning's quarry pond that's across the river from Tunxis Mead. It was delicious!
