I'll probably be ice fishing for two more weekends before starting to target trout. I love spring fishing in the Salmon and Farmington rivers. Hopefully they will be stocked soon so we can start heading out to the TMAs. Tight lines!

I'm getting ready to check out the Mill River TMA soon. Last year around this time is when I caught a holdover brown and had many other fish come up and back down. That was before they did the late Feb/early March stocking.

It's more rewarding to catch a holdover than a stockie. Try this weekend. You might not catch anything but if you do it will be prettier than a tank fish.
