Fished the Housy/Naugy from shore Sunday evening and almost all day Monday. Not a fish to be had. I saw about two dozen other shore fishermen between the two days, all with the same report. Not a bite or nibble. I fished from Shelton down to Milford, back up to Shelton and Derby. Nothing, never had a nibble. Supposedly the boaters have been detecting large schools, as reported by a few on this site, but no one has been able to figure out what they are feeding on. At least ths cold rain can't make things any worse than they are.

I have heard that soft plastics like storm shad have been doing well. I have had better luck with slowwww swimmers though.

I've never had any luck with the storm shad. I did try a few slow swimmers, both surface and deep. And even sand worms at one point. Water is still a bit cold, though.

And maybe the blood moon was just a bad omen Surprised
