Has anyone hit the cows or any shallow water reefs yet? Anything biting? Haven't fished the Spring tog bite in a couple years and was wondering if it's worth puttin the boat in a few weeks early for...

So I went and fished the last hour of incoming and the first two of outgoing at the cows today. Not even a nibble. Offered greens, Asians, and even a few hermits.

Sure was good to be back out there though.

Might try some deeper water later this week.

Can't remember the entire name but a good friend told me they were hooking up by Isabella something (reef or beach?) near Barn Island.

Tried some deeper water in the 30-35 ft range today... Still couldn't get any bites.

Think I'll try the new haven breakwater this week, been hearing good things.

The latest DEEP report says water temps are still too cold and it's been slow for everybody. They said the only area you'd want to hit is the New Haven breakwaters.
