I'm curious as to how many people prefer to wear inflatable life jackets as opposed to the standard jackets when they Kayak. Not being a swimmer I am always more careful than most when I'm on/in the water.....Since Inflatables came on the market, I've considered them since they seem less bulky/ more comfortable but I don't see a lot of discussions about them. Opinions ?

I have never used an inflatable PFD. They are pricey and I just bungie my PFD to my kayak and never wear it. I probably should but.....you know how it is.... lol

Unlike a Type I, II or III PFD, an inflatable PFD MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. If you're the type who always wears a PFD while on the water, an inflatable PFD is a more comfortable option. However, they lack storage. Despite the lack of storage, I prefer them. Some of my fishing buddies prefer to not always wear their PFD while on the water, so they use a Type I, II or III PFD. However, I strongly encourage everyone to ALWAYS wear a PFD while on MY boat.
