Hi Mud.......I hunted harder than ever this year a ton of traveling so i haven't been in front of the computer for a while.Hunting season is finally winding down so you will see me more frequently now. How did your season turn out? Did you get any 80 inchers?

Hi Mike, Had a crappy season. NO Giants, A few smalls up to 58"
while chumming. Couldn't chum on Platts, Jeffries, Trinidad, Pollock hump
or anywhere to the west of me all season. DOGS !!! The fish i did catch
were all west of Seguin and all after Sept. 12 . Dam dogs wouldn't
let us even put a bait in the water. Caught a few dam big Threshers and
one Big Mako.

had trouble getting bait this season, no draggers out. Seems the mid
water boats scooped most of the Herring up. saw tons of small fish
almost every time i went out. They were feeding on Spike mackerel. I think
the giants didn't show because there were no herring. Up in my area you
couldn't even jig up a herring all season long.

Did get out a few times to mate on a stick boat but we didn't do
anything on that one either. Could have stuck a hundred smalls but no
giants. Should have headed down to Stellwagon/ middle Grnd. early in the
season. All in all this and last were the Worst seasons i have seen for
about 20 years.

Not sure if i'll even apply for my Comm. licence or HMS permit in 08.

Don
