The hunt is the best part. I dont get people wanting someone to tell them where to go. If there are carp in there, go pick a spot and chum it up for a few days then fish it. Wouldn't that be more rewarding for you to catch that way?

I used to fish for them in the CT river down in Cromwell, all I did was start throwing in handfuls of whole kernel canned corn & sooner or later they showed up. Wink

John.

P.S. You can get one of those "gallon" sized cans of corn at Walmart if I'm not mistaken.

At the carp spot I fished at I threw a can of corn in at the end of the day and saw at least 15 hogs (20+lbs) come in and suck all of it up within two minutes. So lesson learned for me was to chum chum and chum and there is no over-chumming for these guys.

No need to even chum it up for "days".

Chum it when you get there and you should get hits within 20-30 min (note:dump the corn juice from the can into the water).

Over at lake Zoar, they were hitting it HARD.....we were fishing for an hour and got 5-6 fish. IT was kind of unreal, one was good 3 feet!!! They were MONSTERS
