If you find a pile of them with the high low rig and want to add a little fun, then use a small diamond jig tipped with squid.

I have great luck with sandworms and clams. I go with heavy bait until I get into them thick and then put just enough bait on the hook to be visible. Squid works great too, just cut your strips and lay them in the sun to dry for a while and you can use the same piece for several fish.

Just an FYI you can get frozen squid in the grocery store a lot cheaper than a bait shop. Some day I'll get out there again for dem porgies !!!
