Updated!

Nitrolmic, sorry for the delay, its my fault, with the holidays and all I've been running ragged around here. As things start to calm down, I'll try my hardest to stay on top of it!

Stopped at Colebrook Res on the way up to our camp. Half of the lake is wide open and it looked like a scene out of jaws with the fog being so thick. I'm sure that didn't help things either. The smaller ponds in Becket Mass had ice with alot of water on top. Didn't have the auger to check the thickness though.
Happy new year.

Senkobait if you go up on Saturday I might go on Sunday up there. I was on a pond in Plainville yesterday 1/10 jigging up bluegills and perch. Ice was about 5 inches went down 3 inches from Sunday. With this rain unfortunatley the shoreline will be destroyed. The good news is the temps are going to be in the 30s for the next two weeks. Look at accuweather. Crescent Lake in Southington/Plainville is still locked up no open water visible from the boat launch as of 1/10. If the ice makes it through this rain next weekend lakes wil be icefishable again.

Made a few calls last night. Highland has 5-7inches- edges are in descent shape. Winchester is better with 7+inches and good edges. Be careful with all this fresh snow.

This weekend- head north. I expect ice to be back up to 3-4inches in the meriden/southington/wolcott area. Should be 50/50 black/white ice.
