On Tuesday, I drove up to Plattsburgh, NY, with NWDarkcloud (aka Bob), JJay (aka Jason) and TurtleKiss (aka Kira) for a Wednesday charter on Lake Champlain with Captain Mickey Maynard (aka Captain Mick). I've fished with Captain Mick on both Lake Champlain and Lake Okeechobee, and he's a real fisherman's fisherman. If you're looking for a great trip, you should contact him through his website: http://www.lakechamplainangler.com/

We had been hoping to do some jigging for lake trout, but Captain Mick told us that the laker bite was off. Dang it! Confused Whatever will we do with ourselves now?!?! Rolling Eyes Oh, wait, we're on Lake Champlain! Shocked And Captain Mick knows what to do. . . .

I figured that you'd have a charter with Captain Mick soon, Bryan. The water was still warm for this time of year, so the bite was a little slow. But a slow bite on Lake Champlain is better than a good bite on most other lakes. Hopefully, the water will cool down before you head up there.

Yeah. Got 3 weeks in front of us, and it looked like nice smallies and pike were coming in today. Not real worried. Mick knows how to get on the fish! Wink
