I was at a Christmas party Friday night, at a house on Coventry Lake, and I asked how thick the ice was, and they said it was only about 1 inch, and that i would fall through. I don't know how reliable the source is though. I couldn't see any open ice from where I was near the boat launch. Hope this helps.

The lake is about 85% open water from the launch to the island as of today
