Fished for togs by the Bridgeport train station early yesterday morning . Used green crabs and Asian crabs on a 1/2 oz jig. Landed around 8 fish. 2 of them were keepers. LOTS of small bait stealers over there so I went through close to 50 crabs by 10am.
"tito" bummed some loosies once again LOL

Any signs of bunker, blues, or stripers while you were there?

I've tried hitting the Pequonnock behind the bus terminal a few times but haven't seen any good action.

I've seen many chummers there who do well with stripers and blues. The best time to go there is when there's not a crowd of chummers.

I've been fishing just up river and also seen chummers but no signs of blues and stripers.

Yesterday, there were snapper blues and sea robins right on the beach at Short Beach Park in Stratford.

Those pilings hold blackfish, my largest was just shy of 10lbs with a lot of 5-7 lbs caught. And Michael you mean clunkers not c hummers lol. But yes when the blues and bass are there its a good spot but it's been a quiet year there with the exception this past spring / early summer with bass to 3 lbs under the bunker but it fizzled quickly
