First skunk of the year for me.
I hit Dooley Pond Sunday (24th) around 6:30am. Wind was blowing hard into the launch so getting out was a bit tough. Don't know the water temp but it was willy wonka brown. Not sure if they are still "working" on the dam but the level still seemed 3-4 feet down. Fished the shore down one side and back the other, then everything in between without so much as a nibble. Would have taken a hit from a pickerel but nothing though lots of carp jumping.
Not sure I'll be heading back there soon. Sad

PB bass in my profile pic (6lbs 14oz) came out of dooley pond. Keep trying aha. That was my first time ever fishing there and I got him in my kayak pitch jigs into the brush along the road ride of the pond. I think it was a little later in the summer maybe but it was around this time.

I also saw a picture from another site of a bass which the guy claimed to be 8lbs caught in a similar spot to mine. The picture looks more like 5lbs but who knows. Maybe it was the same damn fish I caught.

yeah,

Dooley has been looking really bleak lately.
the water level has been really low and the water is always very muddy. . The pond wasn't very deep to begin with but now it looks extremely shallow.
