I heard a rumor that tiger muskies were stocked in Lake Lillinonah.

I confirmed with the DEEP that the Lake Lillinonah Authority was issued two permits to stock tiger muskies this year; one for 250 12-inch fish in May and one for 500 9-inch fish in October.

That’ll be neat.

I just read the Lake Lillinonah Authority’s Meeting Minutes. They stocked 160 in May and 500 in October.

I guess that they didn’t have the budget to buy 250 in May.

Wow, that is still very cool Phil. That's my next hunt lol. I think it takes a few years for them to get to legal size. They are quite the predator though.

Based on my experience yesterday, they are certainly there! This guy was 7lbs and over 30 inches. Beautiful Fish. Few local Pike fisherman confirmed their experience with them there as well.

Very Happy

Anytime buddy. Let me know when you get out there. Maybe we can do a meet up at some point.

Here is another one I caught that day. My biggest Northern Pike to date (32 inch, 9lbs).

Anyone see the picture on Fish Brain of the Muskie caught on Lilly last year?

I think the picture makes it look bigger than it actually is, plus if they only stocked the fish 2 years prior to when this fish was caught, it couldn't have gotten that big in two years, could it?
