was at the lake today to find 4 inches of black ice in the beginning and then it tapered off to a consistant 2.5 the rest of the way. if we dont get a cold spell soon, wintergreen lake will be done.  |

| Have you iced fished Wintergreen? I haven't. I have fished it a couple times by boat. Not bad, but not great. Very peaceful though. |

yes i have ice fished it , it"s only ten minutes from my house.it takes longer to walk to my spot on the lake than it does to drive to the lake itself. i have landed some beautiful calico bass there, i have a seven pound large mouth bass on my wall from there, i also have caught a two pound sunny. now there are trout and cat fish stocked there. its an excellent ice fishing spot with much peace. i love it! _________________ hard core fanatic |
