No wanting to bother with CT waters, my buddy and I took a 2-hour ride to southern NH where we found around 20-inches of ice on a 250 acre lake that we usually fish in the summer. Set up around a perimiter of tip-ups around a rocky hump where we catch fish on open water. Had a good day overall - 2 pike (one landed, one snapped off at the hole), 2 small pickerel, 2 largemouth, 2 smallmouth and 3-4 perch. Everything came on tip ups. We had a few hits on jigs, but the live shiners were the way to go. Started raining as we got off the ice. Fun day.
