Sounds good PHS. I am over by the mall so will be checking lakes from Kenosia, bethel res, Marjorie, west lake and ball. I am dying to get on Ball, always good for early bass and trout.

End of the week will try the NW corner again to get out, pray the freeze tues on works for us ! At least the snow is gone off the ice.

Sorry finally got on the site! Ball Pond had ice but no mas! We're gonna have to wait for at least three weeks of teens at night to recoup. Put lake was locked but is now unsafe. My first bodies of ice to hit this year will be Bantam for the biggies and Mt Tom for the salmon. Ball Pond is great for the Huge largemouth and the rainbows too.

Merry Christmas to all of you guys.

See yas out there when possible. PM me if yas ever want to freeze out there with me. I will go every weekend once safe to do so.

I hit Mohawk last week, caught a few rainbow and browns all stockers. The ice was not great, hope it freezes back up.

My GF lives on peach lake in brewster, it was also locked up but we lost it today. It's got great perch and crappie fishing like Putnam lake.

PM me if anyone wants to go out , I am on layoff this winter so will be fishing!

Merry Christmas !

Ed

I have yet to fish ball pond on soft or hard. Its on my list for this season though. Im pretty pumped for the fresh ice. That snow and slush was a no bueno.

You guys see the picture from valley angler Facebook page of gate 12lb walleye caught at sodum in brewster? Heck of a fish. We took a boat off there 3 years ago, got sick of the draw downs and dam work, looks like we should have kept it on.

Yea on some spots. I checked candlewood, ball yesterday on my way down from the NW hills fishing. Danbury bay is frozen, ball needed more time, did not like the ice thickness. Try again over weekend.

Some of the smaller reservoirs and ponds around/in Danbury are already locked with 4"ish. Maybe with the 20mph winds the snow will drift up on the banks and small coves. keeping the ice pretty clear and letting it build for the weekend. Well see. Keeping my tipups ready thats for sure.
