 I've seen some ice fishermen using the hand-held sonars.
 They have said to me that they like it because it's so portable, easy, and fast to use!
 
 I belive Hawkeye puts one out that is also suppose to register fish.
 I'm looking into it as I like to "Shoot and Scoot!"

				| not for nothin... I use a "Bottom Line Fishin Buddy"  and it works great...  I also bring a guitar stand along, incase I want to leave it in the hole while jigging. |  |
