Took a ride at lunch time to check out Wethersfield and Keeney Coves. The water is rising quickly and I'm sure it will be even higher tomorrow. Here's some pics of Wethersfield...the lot is almost fully under water.

This is Keeney...a whole lot of open water over there. Even up to the North part under Rt 3.

Ah glad to see I'm not alone in counting down to open water. Any idea how quick the ice melts with the weather we've been having? I mean if it stays in the mid forties or so how long will we have?

Getting all your equipment ready for the season can only take away the itch for so long!

When I got on the ice at Countryside Park in Avon this morning, I had to chip 3/4 of an inch of ice out of the holes that were open at sundown yesterday. Most of the snow is gone out here, but the ice is still very substantial.

I kinda figured that might be the case. Maybe this rain will help somewhat. Thanks for the info though!
