Tournament of Champions:
Take a couple bucks from every tourney run for the season and put it in the end of the year Tourney of Champions pool.Just update the money in the pool weekly on a reply post so everyone knows whats in the kitty. If you win a CTFishtalk tourney you are in the final tourney.
If you did not win a tourney charge a 100 dollar per boat entry fee.

1st,2nd,3rd place with cash and a CTFISHTALK trophy.
CTFISHTALK Sweetwater Angler of the year

This may drum up some more members and some friendly competition.

Good idea plop plop, except that if there are 6 or 8 regular season tourney's, you may not get many other boats at $100 a pop to fill out a 10 or 20 boat field, if that's what your looking for.

I'm only thinking like this because, by the end of the season (November), I'll be thinking about dropping $1000 in my fuel oil tank at home, for only 1 filling, with prices soaring the way they are. There's not gonna be another $100 available in my checkbook to spend on a day of fishing.

If you kept the entry fee at $40 or $50 maybe?

Just my 2 cents.

The money is a little high for our tourneys but the concept is good.

It was just a example ,I dont freshwater fish so the amount is up 2 u guys. The fee needs to be slightly inflated or u get like 2 pounds of fish bonus if u won a tourney to level the playing field.

We do stuff like this for golf tournies at the course i belong to.
