so what's the deal with the non-boaters? I thought it was a team tourney? i'm just looking for an opportunity to fish.....tournament or not.

just a heads up to anyone...I've never fished a team tourney before, and this was my first year fishin' tourneys, period. So, if I get the opportunity, great...if not, I know everyone usually has their list of potential partners, so I understand.

Hi all! Senko went into rehab today. They say we will see the most proggress in the first six months but you never know he could wake up one day and be back to himself or have regained a lot of function. We all just need to keep him in our thoughts and prayers and they want everyone to think positive and think about him doing all things he loved to do. And we all know his favorite thing was fish. Thank you for all the support!!!

We will have tickets for the benefit dinner at the tournament and you can purchase them at the door. They are $15 a person. If anyone wants to bring kids feel free they are going to have an ice cream cart for the kids. The Maple Grove is located at 100 Franklin Street Rockville Ct 06066.

next level and I werent trying to keep info from anyone but senko is a private person but yes he had 6 strokes . They were at the back of the brain and brain stem. Right now he doesnt have much function he looks around knows who ppl are and responds minimuly (sorry i cant spell) but everyday he makes small improvements. He is recieving therapy everyday. His age is on his side. They cant tell us where the clots came from but can prevent more with blood thinner. I hope no one is offended that this wasnt shared sooner but it seemed like the right thing to do. Please just keep him in your thoughts and prayers as I know you already are. Thanks again for the support!!!

Greeny, I don't think anyone will ever be offended. You share with us what you want, and don't feel you need to share anything if you don't want to. This is a very traumatic life changing event your family is going through right now. We are here to help with what ever we can. If anybody is offended by any lack of information shared, then tough crap! It is your business and yours only! Life is short, savor every day, don't ever do anything you are not comfortable doing.

greeny, I didn't mean to pry and I apologize if it came off that way. II thought the info was already posted and I just missed it.

I am going to PM you ;8r. My father suffered a stroke(multiple ones back to back) so I know how hard it is. He suffers from aphasia and has some minor paralysis. When it happened, I was the only one home and I knew something was wrong but had no idea what it was. I was only 21 and didn't know a thing about strokes.I asked him if he was ok but he responded in gibberish and he didn't even know my name. I don't want to get into it on here, but I will PM you and maybe I can offer you some insight.

Got to feed the kids, will pm you later tonight. Hang in there.

Bass Addict, I didn't tnink you were prying, and I didn't mean to chime in as if you were prying. I know you were only asking because you are concerned.

I just want Greeny to always feel comfortable on this site, sharing what she feels she wants to, and nothing more if she so desires. My intentions were sincere as well, and not intending to bash your questioning at all. I also agree that really personal info can be shared in a PM.

Our families thoughts are with you Greeny and Senko Bandit.

Bass addict I dont think that you were prying. I just wanted to say why I hadn't shared the info already. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. I try to learn about what has happened and how to help him get better. I check the site everyday so if you or any one has any info that may help just let me know.

I have some friends that are interesed in fishing the tournament. It would be 4 ppl (2 boats) I dont believe that any of them are members of the site. What should I tell them to do?

Senko is still doing well. One day at a time.....slow and steady wins the race I say. What happened is going to take some time to heal but we will get there. Thanks for all the support!!!!

Greeny do any of these 4 people have bass boats? If not, they will need to be put on the list of non boaters and hopefully some boaters that haven't secured a partner will pick them up.
